Description

It is a legal requirement that people who may come across asbestos in their day to day work need to be provided with asbestos awareness training and that organisations should have evidence of this training. Serious diseases can be caused when asbestos fibres are released from materials, becoming airborne and inhaled. Asbestos is still commonly found in buildings built before 2000 and for those responsible for the building's maintenance the risk from asbestos must be suitably managed. Eton Environmental Group are an approved UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) provider of category A asbestos awareness training. Our half day course covers; what asbestos is, common uses, where it is found, health issues, management of asbestos, surveying and emergency procedures and includes a short exam at the end. On successful completion candidates are issued a UKATA certificate and card.

UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) recommend annual refresher training with full training every few years as appropriate.
