Targetted vital support for children and families who have mental health issues
TaMHS is a tailor-made mental health service providing targeted support for children aged 5 to 16 and their families. It takes the form of multiple family therapeutic group work and/or individual family work. The project is a collaborative partnership between Brent Council, CAMHS and schools. The project brings CAMHS practitioners into schools on a weekly basis, providing vital support for children and families who have mental health issues. Schools buy into the TaMHS service for an academic year and have a therapist coming into their school for a day or half a day each week of term.
